St. Marys Driving School – Terms & Conditions

1. Lesson Bookings & Cancellations

1.1. All driving lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to instructor availability.1.2. We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to provide notice will result in the full lesson fee being charged.1.3. If a student is late, the instructor will wait a maximum of 15 minutes before considering the lesson forfeited. No refunds or rescheduling will be provided for missed lessons.1.4. If the instructor is late, the missed time will be added to the lesson or rescheduled at no extra charge.

2. Weather-Related Cancellations

2.1. Lessons will continue in normal weather conditions, including light rain. However, if extreme weather conditions arise (e.g., heavy storms, flooding, hail), lessons may be rescheduled at no extra charge for safety reasons.2.2. The decision to cancel a lesson due to weather will be made by St. Mary’s Driving School or the instructor.2.3. If the student cancels a lesson due to weather concerns without approval from the driving school, the full lesson fee will be charged.

3. Lesson Packages & Pricing

3.1. Package deals do not apply to weekend or night driving.3.2. Prepaid package deals are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase and are non-refundable.3.3. Lesson prices are subject to change without notice. However, prepaid package prices will be honoured as per the initial purchase price.

4. Payment & Refunds

4.1. Payments must be made in advance or at the time of booking.4.2. All payments are non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of St. Mary’s Driving School.4.3. Refunds for unused lessons in prepaid packages will be considered only in exceptional cases, such as relocation or medical reasons, and will be subject to an administrative fee.4.4. If an instructor is unable to attend a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances, the lesson will be rescheduled at no extra charge.

5. Gift Vouchers

5.1. Gift vouchers must be used before their expiry date and cannot be extended.5.2. Gift vouchers cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed.5.3. Gift vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

6. Driving Tests

6.1. Students booking a driving test package must provide the correct booking details and ensure they meet all test requirements.6.2. If a student fails to bring the required documentation (e.g., learner’s license) to the test, no refund will be issued for the test package.6.3. The driving school reserves the right to refuse the use of a school vehicle for the test if the instructor believes the student is not test-ready.

7. Student Responsibilities & Behaviour

7.1. Students must hold a valid learner’s permit and carry it during all lessons.7.2. Students must be fit to drive (i.e., not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any medication affecting driving ability).7.3. The instructor has the right to terminate a lesson immediately if a student is deemed unfit to drive. The full lesson fee will be charged.7.4. Students must behave in a respectful and cooperative manner during lessons. Abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of the lesson, and no refund will be issued.

8. Vehicle Maintenance & Safety Assurance

8.1. All St. Mary’s Driving School vehicles are regularly maintained and insured for driving lessons.8.2. Vehicles are fitted with dual controls to ensure instructor intervention when necessary.8.3. If a mechanical issue arises during a lesson, the lesson will be rescheduled at no extra charge.

9. Liability & Insurance

9.1. St. Mary’s Driving School instructors are fully insured and licensed.9.2. The school is not responsible for any fines, penalties, or legal violations committed by the student during lessons or driving tests.9.3. In the case of an accident during a lesson, the instructor will assess the situation and take appropriate action.

10. Amendments & Policy Updates

10.1. St. Marys Driving School reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.10.2. The most recent version of these terms will be available upon request.
